Ian, you were my hero, a constant in my life and a rock on whose support I could always count on. You will be missed every day but remembered every day. I'll miss the 7pm phone call, the chats about football and the weather ! I remember when I was small you gave me the nickname BONES which given my size now is quite ironic but know that Bones will always keep you in his heart and be grateful he had you as a brother. xx

Your loss cannot be measured in metres or in miles. But in all the joy and pleasure as you brought so many smiles. There was never a dilemma in which dessert you would partake. All offerings always neatly, placed upon your plate. Often you would smuggle an extra glass of wine or two. Until of course you seen Maureen watching you. Many a Christmas many a game. The future will never be quite the same. We can shed a tear and show that we are sad Or remember all the happy times with you as a friend a husband and a dad.

When I was young the world moved slow as I began to find my feet Then I grew up and life rushed by the love, the fun - so sweet Then one day the illness came, my mind and body were beat But love remained and I carried on On tired and swollen feet Then on a day not long ago I leapt up from my chair "I'm young and free again" I cried! but my body wasn't there For now I can fly freely I swoop up in the clouds It's just a shame that for right now I am not around But I will stay along with you In everything we shared And you'll know my love inside your heart Deep and uncompared.
